Government announces court closures

The Government announced last week that more than 150 county courts and magistrates courts across England and Wales will be closed in the new year. The closures will include the firms local courts Southport County court and Southport magistrates court. The move has been condemned by lawyers up and down the country who see it as a further erosion of clients access to justice.
