Newly qualified solicitor Jennifer Wilkinson has joined Sefton solicitors Breens as part of the growing Later Life Planning Team.
Jennifer (24) who lives in Burscough, will be based at Breens’ Waterloo office in Crosby Road North but will also spend time in the Southport office in Hoghton Street to enable her to look after clients from across the region. The Later Life Planning team specialises in Wills, Probate, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Estates.
After graduating from Liverpool John Moores University Jennifer trained with practices in Skelmersdale and Preston and qualified as a solicitor in August. “During my time as a trainee I realised that I really enjoy the personal relationships that can be built by working with individual clients on their personal affairs,” explained Jennifer. “The team at Breens has a growing reputation for its work in this field and I know I will learn a great deal about helping clients plan for the more mature stages of their lives.”
Jennifer will be working closely with Sarah Charnley, who heads up the Later Life Planning team at Breens. Sarah is a full member of STEP, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, whose members are the most experienced and senior practitioners in the field of trusts and estates. Additionally, she belongs to Solicitors for the Elderly, a national organisation of lawyers who are committed to promoting robust, comprehensive and independent legal advice for older people, their family and carers.
Said Sarah: “We’re delighted to welcome Jennifer to the team. Her strong interest in this area of the law, coupled her confident and friendly personality makes her a great asset and I am sure she will build great relationships with our private clients.”
