Sarah's appointment strengthens the Breens team

The Private Client department of Breens Solicitors has been strengthened by the appointment of specialist solicitor Sarah Charnley.

Sarah is an authority in Wills, Probate, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Estates and takes a personal interest in helping clients plan for the more mature stages of their lives. She is a full member of Solicitors for the Elderly, a national organisation of lawyers who are committed to promoting robust, comprehensive and independent legal advice for older people, their family and carers. Additionally, she belongs to STEP, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, whose members are the most experienced and senior practitioners in the field of trusts and estates.

Married to a pilot, Sarah, who is originally from Shropshire, lives in Formby and has two children. She is passionate about building strong, long term relationships with clients and demonstrating compassion and empathy in dealing with events of a deeply personal nature.

“Many of my clients are elderly and may not have visited a solicitor for many years. Often the circumstances which bring them to my office are of a distressing nature, such as serious illness or bereavement and the aim is to support them through very difficult times,” she explained. “Breens' motto is 'alongside you through life' and we want to offer a complete care programme throughout our clients' changing circumstances, enabling them to be prepared for all eventualities in life.”

Sarah will head up the Private Client team covering both the Liverpool office, based at Crosby Road North, Waterloo and the Southport office, which is in Hoghton Street. Managing Partner Stephen Breen said: “We have worked to build a practice where the values of the 'family solicitor' of days gone by have merged seamlessly into the modern day services expected in the 21st century. The legal profession has seen dramatic change in the last two decades. At Breens we strive to build and maintain long-term relationships with all our clients so that they have the confidence to turn to us, whatever their legal dilemma. Sarah's appointment enables us to broaden our service offering by adding a new dimension to our client care programme. We are pleased to welcome her to the team.”
