Kirsty studied for an LLB Hons (Integrated French) at Staffordshire University where she also completed the Legal Practice Course while working in a local solicitor's firm. She qualified in 2000 having spent the larger part of her training contract within a personal injury department.
Joining Breens in 2001 Kirsty became Head of Personal Injury and a Partner in 2007.
As a member of APIL and MASS Kirsty has a keen interest in her specialist area and has assisted in the development of training courses. Alongside the management of the department Kirsty has a caseload which involves child injury and long term health problems and works to ensure that rehabilitative care and retraining are part of the compensation process.
Outside work Kirsty is a mother of two young children and with her Italian partner enjoys spending time as a family, food and the countryside.
