If you are thinking of moving home and want to be in before Christmas the time to list your property for sale is now.
A study has found that prospective home sellers need to have their homes on the market before 17 October if they are to stand a chance of being in their new home by Christmas.
Data collected by the website EstateAgent4Me shows that properties listed for sale in the autumn are harder to sell than those listed in the summer. Homes listed in October take an average of 65 days to sell the data shows.
The data shows that, despite the uncertainty caused by Brexit, the average length of time to sell a property has remained relatively constant at between 51 and 70 days.
January is the best month to list your property if you want a quick sale. If you don’t want to wait until the New Year, get your property on the market now, and fingers crossed you’ll be in your new home by Christmas.
