How will my Personal Injury Claim be funded?
There is no Legal Aid available for personal injury cases but there are a number of ways to fund your personal injury claim.
Your home or motor insurance policy may provide legal expenses cover.
If you do not have legal expense insurance (LEI), we can arrange for you to take out a flexible, low cost insurance policy which will cover you for our expenses and the defendant’s fees and expenses. The insurance premium is payable at the end of your case so there are no up front costs. The price of the insurance premium is covered by the insurance policy, so should you lose your case, you will not have to pay the premium.
Will I have to pay anything towards making a claim?
It will not cost anything to see if you have a claim. We offer a free initial consultation via our free phone number 01704 532890.
If you are happy to proceed, we have a range of low cost, flexible insurance policies which will cover you for all outgoing expenses.
Since April 2013 the way solicitors get paid for running a personal injury claim has changed. When we win your case, we will recover most of our fees from the losing side. Where there is a shortfall you will have to make a contribution to our fees. However, we guarantee you will receive at least 75% of your compensation.
If you have the benefit of a legal expense cover at the date of your accident, your insurer must allow you to choose your own solicitor and by using them, we can potentially work on the basis that you received 100% of your compensation.
What if I lose?
Every case is vetted before we accept it. This is so we do not run a claim we cannot win and in the process rack up costs on your behalf. In most cases we will agree to run your claim on a no win, no fee basis. This means that should your case fail, you ill not be liable for our fees. The costs of your opponent, if any, would be paid for by either your existing legal expense insurer or the insurance we obtain on your behalf.
